Having originally had the seed sown after a trip to the Copenhagen in 2016 taking this unique offering from initial concept through to design and construction with help from my friends and family, I'm so excited to share this with our guests. Lounge Area: At the center of the space is the lounge, where you'll find plenty of unique bespoke furniture along with a few homely touches that I hope you'll make use of. The sofa sits neatly in this space with the ability to be used as a bed for guests should the need arise. A shelving unit sits between 2 large windows housing a variety of books, games, a wireless bluetooth speaker and the WIFI router. At the end of the space sits a wall mounted smart TV with Freeview, Netflix & Amazon prime. below sits a handcrafted reading chair. A wood burner with a complimentary basket of firewood & kindling is located next to the wood burner.

Kitchen Area: Topped with granite work surfaces the modern kitchen is filled with all the amenities and appliances you could ever need including an oven, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, hob and much more. You'll also find a Nesspresso machine with complementary tea, hot chocolate & coffee pods. A breakfast bar with bespoke stools made with 150-year-old antique pine sits at the end of the area allowing ample space for dinning. You’ll find all the household essentials including an iron, ironing board and a vacuum along with smaller consumables under the sink. Complementary tea, coffee, sugar & milk are also provided.

Bed Area: The position of the king size pocket sprung memory foam bed is on a raised platform, facing outwards to the horizon with a view of the hills in the distance giving you the perfect view to wake up to, flanked by an integrated wardrobe with hanging space and shelving. A Luxury bed linen set will ensure a perfect nights sleep for everyone. 2 individual reading lights at each side of the bed provide ample lighting for all your reading needs.

Bathroom: The first thing you'll notice as you enter the bathroom is Portuguese style colourful floor brighting up the room, you'll find a LED halo light up mirror with an in built cabinet behind accessed by a simple slide. Fresh linen is provided and available on the heated towel rail. A top of the range plumbed power shower is located in a spacious dedicated shower unit. Complementary slippers, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, soap and shower caps are provided.

Outside: A private spacious deck provides a panoramic view of the beautiful Devon countryside with views onto the distant hills. A large picnic bench sits perfectly for outside dinning on those warm summer nights. Why not retire to the luxury outdoor sofa for a more relax evening. A BBQ stand is provided to use at your convenience. Relax and unwind in the hammock with a book. Mood lighting lines the area creating subtle glow as the sun goes down or leave them off and gaze up at the never-ending stars.

On arrival you'll be provided with a comprehensive welcome pack that will contain a plethora of information you may need during your stay, including local info, emergency info, things to do locally and a guide to award winning local business.

Professional insured Dog day care is available on site so if your going somewhere or just fancy some time alone we can take care of your pooch.

Please be aware:
As mentioned above a small dog day care is located on our farm, you may noticed a few barks during the day when the dogs go out for there twice daily walks but this is kept to a minimum.( please note the day care does not operate during the weekend)

If you plan on bringing a dog you must let us know before hand. Dogs must have there latest vaccinations ( with proof provided). Dogs must be kept on a lead when outside at all times. Maximum 2 dogs. No entire male dogs. These rules are put in place to protect both our and your animals failure to adhere to the rules will result in the cancellation of the booking with no refund.

This is a 19th Century country house, situated in the unspoiled Devon countryside, nestled between Exmoor and Dartmoor. The Amberstone Manor, set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens and 20 acres of river meadows, has been totally refurbished and offers nine beautifully-appointed bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. It sleeps up to eighteen adults and is able to provide additional accommodation for children or staff on request. The house is in two parts. The main part has a ground floor with two very large reception and dining areas and a lounging TV room to relax in. There is also a large farmhouse style kitchen with ancilliary rooms and the dining room that seats eighteen. All have large windows, mostly double aspect, allowing in the south facing sun and light. The two floors above contain seven bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities. The courtyard is home to a further two additional bedrooms, the studio and the cobbled room. Additionally the courtyard contains a large spectacular room (11m x 6m) that can be used for functions, conferences, dance, yoga and table tennis. The adjoining room is a huge but restful snooker room (full size table), library and flat screen TV. The house sits comfortably in five acres of gardens and pastures with uninterrupted views across a valley of woods and river towards distant Dartmoor. Immediately around the house are formal gardens that were laid out in Victorian times. To the west is a private sunken salt water swimming pool set amongst tropical plants, while on a lower terrace is a tennis court of green artificial grass surrounded by a hundred Rhododendron bushes. The south facing terraces are built from fossilised limestone from Malta, but underneath is a very English Victorian garden grotto. A lawn for croquet, an orchard for apples, a vegetable garden for fresh produce all add up to the quintessential English country garden. Facilities include an outdoor heated (heated by solar panels) salt water pool(The swimming pool is open from the 1st May through to the end of September),infra red sauna, yoga and dance room, TVs and DVDs in most of the rooms, grass tennis court, snooker room, croquet lawn and extensive gardens. Wi-fi is available throughout. There is a full meet and greet service with the house.  The owner will show you around and show you how everything works to make sure you are happy before you are left to enjoy your holiday! Take you pick form a wide selection of stunning local walks and hikes in the area.  Cycle from Dartmoor to the sea on old disused railway line known as “the tarka trail”.

Golf
An 18-hole short course in Chulmleigh, less than five minutes walk away.  Then advance to to the full-size course some ten minutes away at Highbullen Hotel Golf and Country Club.  Alternatively, visit the premier Atlantic Links course at Saunton Golf Club and play their East Course which is rated 60 in the world by Golf World Magazine.

Horse riding
Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks are the perfect places to visit for a horse lovers. Chulmleigh also has a local stables for horse riding lessons and hiring. explore the multitude of forestry tracks and bridleways, some through Eggesford Forest.

Fishing
There are many wonderful venues for fishing close by. The Little Dart is a ‘late running river’ so fish arrive later in the year.  The Taw is best for salmon in the spring and is good for sea trout from May onwards.  There are also several coarse fishing lakes in the area, including the popular Stafford Moore.  The Torridge and the River Mole, Catham Lakes and Huntacott Water are all close by.

Other Activities
Light aircraft, gliding and microlight flying sessions at Eaglescott Airfield, only 15 minutes away.  Clay pigeon and game shoots, including Trenchard, Colleton Manor and Clovelly.
