Within a 10-20 minute drive you will be on the doorsteps of the incredible beaches at Woolacombe, Saunton, Croyde and Ilfracombe. Any beach enthusiast will surely find a pleasurable day, whether it be surfing or sunbathing!

The Belle Tent is set on a wooden standing within their own distinct area in a 4 acre field. The tent will comfortably sleep 4 on proper beds and mattresses (1 double, 2 singles) made up ready for your arrival. Children will love the cow themed duvet covers! There is room for an additional child on a smaller, pull out mattress but please bring your own bedding (if you wish to bring your own small inflatable bed and bedding instead you can do so).

​A modern wood burning stove found just outside the tent will keep you warm on colder evenings, but is also useful for cooking. ​Fairy lights and battery powered tea lights within the tent provide the perfect tranquil lighting for a relaxing stay.

You have access to your own covered outdoor kitchen area equipped with a gas barbecue, as well as cooking equipment and crockery. An outdoor seating area is also provided.

​Those wanting a more authentic camping experience will enjoy the fire pit provided, perfect for toasting marshmallows!

​There is no electric provision within the tent allowing you to switch off from the outside world, although electricity is available in the play barn if you really can’t leave your mobile behind!

BUTTERCUPS - a unique opportunity to stay in one of three really cosy log cabins at Highampton which lies between Hatherleigh and Holsworthy. Our lodges are constructed from 8" pine logs and are exceptionally warm and welcoming. We offer clean, comfortable accommodation that has views which are absolutely fantastic - right across miles of beautiful Devon countryside to Dartmoor in the distance. South facing with undercover patio. Parking on your own driveway alongside your lodge and garden area for your picnics or for the children to play in. Our lodges are fully furnished for up to four people, and are centrally placed for both the north and south coasts of Devon, and for the North Cornwall Coast - Widemouth Bay and Bude being particular favourites.
Holiday for 7/14 nights or take a short break - our lodges take 4 people comfortably in a main bedroom with a double bed and two twins in the second bedroom.

The lodges and site do not really suit very young children so no-one under the age of 4 please unless it's been discussed and agreed.

The recently updated kitchen has a fridge, freezer, electric oven with ceramic hob and a microwave and in the lounge there's a large smart TV and recently upgraded superfast Wi-Fi throughout. The upgrade to the shower room was completed in 2019 - there's an electric shower and the water is mains, so no problem with pressure! There are heaters in all rooms and a log/coal burner in the living area. The veranda was replaced during 2020 and now has a security gate.
'Superfast' WiFi, toy box with games for young children and a table-tennis table, badminton set and swing-ball with equipment. The village of Hatherleigh is about 4 miles away with a good selection of cafes and shops. There's also a couple of pubs, supermarket + skatepark.

Highampton is a small village with a pub which is situated in Ruby country with it’s fantastic selection of trails for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. The village of Hatherleigh is about 4 miles away and has a good selection of cafes and shops. There’s also pubs, supermarket and a new skatepark. The bustling town of Okehampton is a further 7 miles away. In the opposite direction about 7 miles away lies the pretty market town of Holsworthy with the beautiful beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay a further 9 miles away.

We are centrally placed for all parts of Devon and Cornwall. The area is one of peace and tranquility, so if it's a quiet base you want for your holiday, then Dartmoor View Lodges is the place to be.

Highampton is a small village with a pub, school, village hall and visiting post office.

Hatherleigh and Holsworthy are larger and have all the amenities you need. Our site is quiet and tranquil and wildlife is plentiful. In the early morning it is quite possible that you will see deer grazing and there are usually a lot of rabbits around and foxes pay the occasional visit. Birds thrive and we regularly see woodpeckers, tree creepers and buzzards, at dusk the bats come out to feed. Butterflies are also attracted by the many wild flowers that emerge in the spring.

We're very lucky to enjoy really dark night skies, great for star-gazing, due to very little light pollution.

Located in Beaworthy, this cabin is in a rural area and by the sea. Eastcott Vineyard and Holsworthy Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Dragon Archery Centre and Survival Paintball. Traveling with kids? Consider Survival Laser Games and The Gnome Reserve and Wildflower Garden. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Set amidst the peaceful picturesque valley of Buckland Park near Bantham in South Devon resides this charming lodge called Badgers Den.
Sleeping up to 4 adults with an exterior to dazzle and an interior to wow, this retreat is most sweet. This homely Den offers great comfort from the moment you step foot onto the sunny decked verandah. The perfect holiday home for a romantic break for two or a family fun adventure for all, including our furry four legged friends who will love Badgers Den too !

Upon entry from the fantastic alfresco dining decking into the den, a spacious open plan living area welcomes you. Coat hanging space can be found near the rear of the kitchen. The kitchen is fully established with crockery, cutlery and bakeware. The classic decor kitchen is in keeping with the rest of the Den. Clean and soft colours brighten the kitchen with an elegant finish from the appliances. Badgers Den offers guests a variety of top and base cupboard units, a microwave, his & her toaster, wine rack, kettle, halogen hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, and a full sized Fridge/Freezer. Child protection locks can be found on the cleaning cupboards under the sink. A modern rustic dining table stands in the centre of the kitchen with 6 shabby chic up-cycled wooden chairs. Draws in the table offer a range of information and useful items for during your stay including brochures on things to do in the local area. The Sonos speaker found in the kitchen which is a great addition to kickback and enjoy.

Into the lounge area, carpet has been laid and a marvelous mini log burner resides in the corner of the room. The large window looks out onto the valley, and dependent on the season, you may be able to watch the sheep grazing. There are two sofas that can be found with additional throws for those chillier nights. A large wooden trunk sits in the centre of the living room, which works perfectly as coffee table. A TV, DVD-player and a range of DVD’s can be found – perfect for those rainy days to curl up and chill out. Badgers Den does include free WiFi, however, this is shared with the other residents in the valley so streaming is not viable. There is fairly good phone signal in the Den.

The single bathroom to the Den is fully fitted with a large bath and overhead electric shower, toilet, basin and heated towel rail. Decorated with tiled floors, soft blue shower tiles and a boat shelf, this beach style bathroom draws you in and smells divine.

Badgers Den offers two bedrooms. The master bedroom faces towards the front garden, the double size bed offers great comfort and plenty of storage space from the bedside tables to the wardrobe and extra drawers. Decorated with a sailors theme, this white and blue bedroom is rather beautiful and envelops one into its cosy comfort.

The second bedroom is right next door. This twin single is effortlessly spacious, well designed and beautifully decorated. A shared bedside drawer unit hosts a lamp and radio. A large wooden standing wardrobe and chest of drawers provide ample storage during your stay. Extra throws and soft cuddly toys can be found in this room, along with a range of books and puzzles ideal for kids on a rainy day.

Badgers Den has access to both its own private garden and a communal garden, shared with the other residents in the area. The private enclosed garden overlooks the lush green fields and is perfect for dogs to wander in. The garden hosts a picnic bench, plus a bird watching bench for all the family to enjoy the outdoors or even alfresco dining. A retractable washing line can be found attached to the rear of the property in the garden. A Kettler bistro set on the decking is the perfect setting for morning coffee and afternoon sundowners.

Badgers Den includes parking for up to two cars at the front of the property, just before the trickling stream at the bottom of the valley.



Located in Kingsbridge, this cabin is in a rural area and on a river.
