The Moat House has been recently refurbished and today boasts modern interiors and furnishings however the beautiful, original high oak beams have enabled the barn to retain its unique charm and character. Upon entering the property through the artisan crafted studded oak front door, guests will enter into the large open-plan entertaining area. At one end of this space is the living area which comes complete with homely country checked designer sofas and a top of the range ClearView log burner in a huge beamed fireplace, a cosy spot to relax after a long day spent exploring the Shropshire region. The bespoke fitted kitchen can be found at the other end of this room and boasts all the necessary amenities a budding chef could possibly need as well as a formal dining table. The two bedrooms are both equal in size, helping to avoid any arguments! The king-size rooms both boast luxury en-suite bathrooms complete with indulgent White Company toiletries.

Outside, the south-facing private garden terrace makes a tranquil spot from which to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or a sundowner at the end of an exciting day followed by a delicious meal using the barbeque!

Just a minutes’ walk away from the Moat House, is Chevaliers Gatehouse, this is the perfect option for those in larger groups. Alternatively, it is possible to rent Chevaliers Estate, a combination of the Gatehouse, the Moat House and a further Coach House in order to accommodate parties of up to eight or twelve guests (subject to availability).

Chevaliers Moat House is situated within a secluded hamlet deep in the Shropshire countryside, but lies within four and a half miles of historic Bridgnorth and four miles of the pretty market town of Much Wenlock. Next to the Hall is the historic Norman church of St Michael with its 12th century wall paintings and famous 12th century font. Chevaliers Moat House remains a haven of peace and rural beauty today – an ideal place to explore Shropshire and the Heart of England, from the gastronomic centre of Ludlow to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, the Shropshire hills and many other historic houses and gardens, including the Dower House Gardens in nearby Morville of Dr Katherine Swift (author of the bestselling book The Morvile Hours) and the world famous nursery gardens of David Austin Roses. Bridgnorth, four miles away, is an attractive market town famous for its funicular railway and the many flights of steps which connect the High and Low Towns. Regular steam trains also run from here along the Severn Valley Railway. The town has many charming pubs and bistro restaurants, as well as high street shops, a supermarket and a cinema.

Much Wenlock, five miles away, has been voted the second most beautiful town in England. You can stroll around the ruins and grounds of the ancient Wenlock and Buildwas Abbeys (Wenlock Abbey was one of the most important in the 15th century), go antique shopping, visit the local Olympian museum, browse for second hand books (Wenlock Books won the coveted Independent Bookseller of the Year award in 2006) or go shopping at the artisan shops and galleries or the traditional butcher, Ryan’s, that has won a national award for Best Butcher in Britain.

Half an hour’s drive away to the south-west is historic Ludlow, one of the gastro capitals of England with award winning Michelin restaurants, secluded gastro-pubs, historic market square and famous castle ruins where the two ‘Princes of the Tower’ were brought up in the late 15th century. To the north-west, also half an hour away, is historic Shrewsbury, birthplace of Charles Darwin, with its old cathedral, market squares, theatre and riverside restaurants.

Chevaliers Moat House is conveniently located for access to the M5, M6, M54 and M40 motorways. The nearest station is fifteen miles away with frequent inter-city trains from London, Manchester and Glasgow and services to Wales and the West Country.The nearest airport is Birmingham International Airport, approximately 40 miles away. If you love being outdoors and want a simple life experience, this may be just what you are looking for.

We warmly welcome you to stay in our cosy 4m bell tent, one of only three, in an open paddock surrounded by fields and a working farm. There is enough space to give you privacy. If you are lucky you can spot deer, foxes and an abundance of wild birds among which are red kites and buzzards, and under a clear night sky, the stars are amazing and will leave you in awe.

Inside your bell tent is a comfortable 3/4 bed with cotton linen and anti allergy bedding. Blankets, towels and toiletries are provided as well as bottled spring water and complimentary tea, herbals and coffee. There is a small chest of drawers and a couple of loungers for use outdoor. You have your own firepit/bbq and we sell charcoal and wood or you can bring your own.

The outdoor hot water shower is shared with up to six other guests, as well as the dry compost toilet. We aim to reduce water and be as eco as possible. In the shared outdoor kitchenette is a gas hob, electric kettle, toaster and mictowave as well as a fridge and freezer.

If you don't fancy cooking, we can provide homecooked breakfast, lunch /picnic, afternoon tea and supper using eggs from our own hens, veg and herbs from the organic veg patch and local, organic suppliers where possible. Vegetarian gluten and dairy free is a speciality, along with ayurveda cooking. You may like a lesson! Herefordshire is abundant with food from cheese to cider, craft beers and gin, and of course, Hereford beef. Let us know in advance if you would like us to provide you with any meals at a reasonable cost so we can be prepared.

One of your hosts is an experienced and established yoga teacher offering private or group guidance with the other guests. Price is depending and can be arranged once you are here.

The nearest pub is a drive away, in the countryside, and you can find more in the nearby pretty black and white village of Weobly, 6 miles or so away, which is part of the Black and White Trail. The historic city of Hereford is 7.5miles away. You can visit the market towns of Leominster, Ledbury, Ross-On-Wye and Hay-on-Wye, and the River Wye is a good walk away.

We can guide you with places to visit, available outdoor activities and walks or you may prefer to switch off your phone, curl up with a good book and simply be. Herefordshire is beautiful. Come and feel rested and rejuvinated! What are you waiting for?

The Herefordshire Golf Club and Ticknock Mountain Bike Trails are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit The Weir Garden and Herefordshire Raceway. Overview:
Field end started as a small barn built with friends during a barn raising. Now extended by John it is a simple, stylish, underfloor heated 2 bedroom cabin. With a deck that extends into the field at the back, a hammock and a BBQ, it is immersed in surrounding Cotswold countryside. We are dog friendly and have ample parking. Thirty minutes drive to Oxford, three minutes drive to the village of Great Tew and Soho Farmhouse, Field End is well connected for exploring the surrounding rural area. There are two other properties on site, we live in one and the other is called The Artists House and can be booked in conjunction with Field end to sleep a total of 12 guests. Both are completely separate buildings with private entrances and parking.

Ground Floor - With a ramp up to the property and everything at ground level, the property is easy to access. As you enter the property you are led into the open plan kitchen/living area, with a fireplace, sofa and table that seats 4-6 guests it is perfect for cooking and socialising. There are two bedrooms, both King sized which can be separated into singles if required. The larger room is lighter due to a high window and the smaller has an en-suite with a shower. There is another general bathroom with a shower as well. We have a cot available if needed, let us know and we can set that up for your arrival.

Outside - Double doors to the outside which can be left open, bring nature into the kitchen/dining area. There is seating on the deck which can host 8+ guests, a BBQ, sun shade if required and a hammock to enjoy the surrounding nature. There is plenty of parking space on the property, but if you’re arriving with more than 2 cars please let us know.

The Site:
Built originally as a large playroom/nursery we extended added and re-built it as children started to fly our nest in 2015. Designed and built by John you can see the frame going up at the end of the photos. We are part of the Great Tew Estate and Field End is part of the site called Potato Town. The history of the name is a bit of a mystery but the " Town "consists of a cluster of buildings. Field End is separated by a garden, bordered by a lane and fields.

Things to Note:
Pam and John live in one of the other properties on site so help is at hand if required and after having travelled extensively in their youth enjoy hosting other peoples memorable journeys and breaks. Without being too earnest about it we are trying to reduce our waste and adopt eco friendly practices. We air dry our french linen bedding and are moving over to as much organic cotton as possible. We provide toiletries from Faith In Nature in refillable dispensers and do not use chemicals on the garden. As mentioned above, both bedrooms contain beds that can be separated into single beds if needs be, please let us know how you would like the beds for your arrival.

Where you’ll be:
Field End is perfect for exploring the rural Cotswold countryside, you can walk directly into the village of Swerford or walk down “The Lane” a path that leads from the deck of Field End into to beautiful views. The Boxing Hare serving delicious food is 200 yards down the road. Discover the Cotswold villages of Stow on the Wold and Burford within 20 minutes drive. Closer still, explore the thatched village of Great Tew with its Famous Pub The Falkland Arms and enjoy coffee or food to takeaway at Quince and Clover. Soho Farmhouse is less than a five minute drive away. Daylesford Organic Farmshop for spa treatments and luxury is nearby in the village of Kingham. National Trust properties of Hidcote, Chastleton and Upton are within easy reach as is Blenheim Palace and the town of Woodstock. Less than a minute drive from Chipping Norton, shops, pubs and cafes are easily accessible. Oxford is a thirty minute drive away and Bath an hour.

Getting around:
You will need access to a car. The nearest stations are Banbury and Charlbury, both around 20 minutes drive away, Oxford Parkway is slightly further afield but all train stations run direct to London Marylebone or London Paddington. There is a bus that goes into Oxford from Chipping Norton every hour till late.


Located in Chipping Norton, this cabin is in a rural area. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Cotswolds and Spiceball Country Park, while Oxfordshire Museum and Fosse Gallery Fine Art are cultural highlights. The National Herb Centre and Cotswold Falconry Centre are also worth visiting.

Our converted container cabin is run on wind power with a spring water supply from a sustainable well. The cabin is a modern space with bedroom, bathroom and combined kitchen and living space. It is fully equipped with all that you should require for your stay. The cabin sleeps 4, with one main bedroom and a sofa bed utilised in the main living space.

Set on a 40 acre farm boasting stunning views we are right on the edge of the Peak District yet only 1 mile away from the historic spa town of Buxton. The spectacular views can be seen from inside and outside. The sunrise, sunset and star gazing (should the weather allow) are a sight to behold.

Our unique location makes us a perfect base for exploring nearby attractions. Hiking, cycling, angling, photography, drawing, painting, wildlife spotting and much more are all on our doorstep.

We are a small working farm where animals do roam the fields freely and so we ask our guests to be respectful of this. We are happy for your lovely well behaved dogs to join you on your break provided they are kept on leads and under control at all times.

We have a hot tub available as an optional extra for the duration of your stay costing £25 per night which will be payable on arrival.

Located in Buxton, this cabin is in a rural area. The Stable was converted just 3 years ago. Decorated in New England colours and all on one level its a beautiful place to stay. the Stable is all electric with radiators in each room and also a wood burning stove for those who love a real fire. It is warm in winter and cool in summer . The living space has a full kitchen with cooker, fridge and microwave. A comfortable leather sofa for relaxing in front of the wall mounted TV, and free wifi . There is also a small dining table and 2 chairs.
The bedroom has a Victorian Iron bed with an orthopedic memory foam mattress for an excellent nights sleep, a fitted wardrobe and side tables with wall lights.
The bathroom has an electric shower, toilet and washbasin.
The property shares the drive to our house but The Stable is away from the house and accessed by electric gates to the shared drive. Parking is outside the front door with ample space for turning.
The gates lead onto a roman track which leads down to the beautiful Worcestershire/Stafforshire canal where walkers, dog walkers and cyclists use regularly. Just 5 minutes away along the path there is Bells fishery with its wonderful huge fishing lakes.

This cabin is located in Stourbridge. Bewdley Pines Golf Club and Perton Park Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit intu Merry Hill and Kidderminster Street Market.
