Rye is a very interesting historic town and one of the original Cinque Ports.It has become known as a chic and arty destination with its boutique style shops antique emporiums galleries and choice of eateries including pubs teashops and restaurants. There is even a small independent cinema with two screens. There are various festivals throughout the year including the Rye International Jazz Festival Rye Scallop Festival the Rye Arts Festival and the famous bonfire procession and fireworks. For beach lovers Camber is close by with its sand dunes and expansive seascape where you can pass the time swimming beachcombing or maybe even try your hand at windsurfing. The beautifully eerie Dungeness is around 20 minutes away and fashionable St Leonards & Hastings are a short hop by train or car. The cabin design is modern rustic meets beach house with interior walls clad in beautifully weathered timber and wooden board on the floors and outside on the deck. The owners friendly dogs are onsite and are happy to welcome you to their home. The entrance to the cabin is via French doors which lead you from your own decked area. The accommodation is spacious and open-plan. Immediately to the left is a stylish lounge area with a comfy sofa stylish retro chair and large Smart TV which can be angled either towards the lounge area or the bed. Beyond the lounge area is sumptuous super-king-size bed with Siberian goose down pillows and duvet with Egyptian cotton sheets perfect for a romantic getaway! The painted headboard houses bedside lamps and cleverly disguised storage for clothes etc. To the right of the entrance is the kitchen and dining area with a mid-century modern dining table and chairs. The small but well-equipped kitchen consists of an electric oven and hob fridge microwave and Nespresso machine. The bathroom has a shower over the large bath toilet and basin. The bathroom is partly clad in beautiful Moroccan zeliges tiles. Outside on your decked area there are two wooden sun loungers and a ping pong table with amazing views over the water great for a relaxing break away from it all. Although separate this does form part of the owners land but your privacy will be respected and you are not overlooked.

About four miles from the open New Forest there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy many walking cycling and horse riding routes. A ten minute drive away is the quaint town of Romsey with period streets independent shops cafés and restaurants or head slightly further afield and visit the cathedral city of Winchester for the day. Easily reached within a 25 minute drive you ll find plenty of historic buildings museums and family attractions in the town. If you are keen to hit the beach Highcliffe Castle is within a half hour drive. Perfect for a day trip you can stop off at New Forest villages including Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst or Beaulieu Village along the way as you head to the coast. This spacious and unique log cabin has an open plan living area oozing folk charm. With steps down to the garden and large windows that are great for keeping an eye on the resident Alpacas there is also a sociable dining space with doors opening directly on to the balcony. The kitchen forms part of the open plan space is equipped with all the essentials for a self-catering holiday and if you fancy a spot of al fresco dining why not cook up a storm outside on the gas BBQ. Featuring three bedrooms the first has a double bed en-suite shower room and views over the paddocks and woods. The second bedroom is a cosy space with two twin beds and the third bedroom also boasts paddock views and one single bed. A travel cot is provided for babies. There is plenty to discover across the five acres of land on this working smallholding with sheep and alpacas. With an abundance of wildlife deer kingfishers small flock of Hardwick sheep and lambs children are welcome to assist with morning feedings or if you are a keen angler private fishing at one of the two privately owned lakes can be arranged. There is a hideaway alongside a grassy track down by the banks of the stream that the children will love or simply prepare a picnic and unwind within the grounds. Parking for two or three cars is available off track beyond the garden gate and there is bike and buggy storage in the barn. Please note there is no Wi-Fi however there is mobile phone signal. Pregnant ladies are advised to avoid the ewes and lambs during lambing season. Lambing season in the area takes place from the start of April to mid-May.

The pretty historic port of Yarmouth is where the ferry comes in from Lymington and here you'll find a host of places to eat on a night out. Nearer to home, and directly on the beach, are popular cafes and bars like “The Hut” and “The Waterfront” which have wonderful views, especially at sunset. It's cosy and family-friendly with other bungalow guests nearby for children to meet and play with in the grounds, or on the safe beach below. We have made every effort in decorating the bungalow to reflect its seaside location with painted wood panelling, ship models and pictures and comfy sofas and chairs. There are books to read, guides on the Isle of Wight, and plenty of games to play with, as well as TV with Freeview, and most importantly for many, our own unlimited use of the Internet.
