As the name suggests the lodge is situated right on the edge of the River Ifron where otters have regularly been spotted. This spacious timber lodge offers well equipped and comfortable self catering accommodation for five people. The lounge has a large and comfortable sofa and armchair and there’s a flatscreen TV with satellite Freeview, and free wifi along with a cosy flame effect fire for the chillier nights. Large picture windows which adorn its well-designed living area, not only flood the space with light but invite effortless appreciation of the beauty of the natural surroundings. The French doors open onto a large veranda across the front of the property providing an ideal spot for dining in the sunshine. The dining area has circular table and four chairs, and next to this is the kitchen, which has full size fridge and gas cooker, and a full complement of what you would expect in a kitchen. There’s a double bedroom, a twin and a single, a bathroom with shower, sink & WC. Outside the lodge has a large area of grassy lawn with BBQ and its own private driveway. Pets are welcome at the site – there is a large riverside area for dog walking and miles of footpaths nearby. This lodge offers a holiday with peace and relaxation - you’d be forgiven for never wanting to leave such tranquility behind.
Caer Beris Holiday Park is situated just outside the spa town of Builth Wells near to the Brecon Beacons, an area of outstanding Welsh countryside. Situated in 34 acres of neatly maintained grounds, the park provides a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with something to interest every member of the family from walking, cycling, culture, scenery, nature and of course fishing!
On the site there is a stretch of free river fishing where there are salmon, grayling and trout waiting to be caught. There is also a fully stocked fishing lake (permits required).
Caer Beris itself is the site of a historic fort and the stunning Caer Beris Manor Hotel. Access to the hotel is gained from the park grounds by crossing the wooden walkway bridge which spans over the River Irfon. Guests are welcome to visit the hotel and take advantage of the facilities and events held throughout the year.
The setting is beautifully rural yet very close to the town of Builth Wells which is only a mile away - a few minutes in the car, or a pleasant 20 minute walk through the Manor Hotel grounds when the weather obliges. Builth is a charming town with a range of shops, pubs, restaurants and even a cinema!
Local attractions around the area include the ever popular Royal Welsh Show, The National Showcaves Centre, The Woollen Mill at Rock Mill and the breathtaking landscapes in and around the Elan Valley. We especially recommend the Red Kite Feeding at Rhayader and a walk or drive around the Elan Valley Dams. A 15 minute drive to the Victorian Spa town of Llandrindod Wells, is well worth a visit especially during the Victorian Festival in August.
Riverside 28 is 40 miles from Hereford, 20 miles to Hay-on-Wye, 17 miles from Brecon, while Abergavenny is 35 miles from the property. The nearest airport is Cardiff Airport which is 69 miles from the lodge.

This chalet is located in Builth Wells. Radnorshire Museum and The Cambrian Woollen Mill are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Builth Wells Golf Club and Brecon Golf Club. Royal Welsh Showground and Gigrin Farm Red Kite Feeding Centre are also worth visiting.

This recently refurbished log cabin provides self catering accommodation for up to 4 guests and consists of an open plan living / dining / kitchen area, double bedroom, twin bedroom, family shower room. and hot tub It is double glazed, well heated and suitable for year round use.

The living area has TV, DVD player & Hi-Fi (via DVD), radio, a three seater sofa, two-seater sofa and dining table for 4. Patio doors open onto a large (length and width of cabin) veranda overlooking the surrounding forest. Hot tub is located on veranda.

The kitchen area is well equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster & kettle. A full range of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery are provided.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, TV, bedside cabinet, wardrobe / clothes storage with patio doors opening onto the veranda.

Take a drive up towards Llanthony Abbey through the Black Mountains and on to Hay on Wye with its eclectic range of book shops and the international Literary Festival every May. There is lots of family fun available, from pony trekking to rope climbing at Go Ape, the Big Pit National Coal Museum in Blaenavon and a multitude of castles to explore. Stepping outside there is a paved patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ to enjoy al fresco dining while enjoying the surrounding countryside views. The garden to the front of the property is lawn with a stone circle feature for enjoying views towards the Cromarty Firth. There are lots of local walks to enjoy from the house and ample parking available. Located in the Ross shire countryside with the city of Inverness and Inverness Airport about a 40 minute drive, this is a fantastic base for exploring the spectacular and dramatic Scottish Highlands. There are many country walks and cycle paths to enjoy, taking you to the dramatic Black Rock Gorge or take a woodland walk up to the Fyrish monument for spectacular views over the Cromarty Firth, (delete as this is currently closed) or visit the Dalmore Distillery located in Alness.
