It's a 6 berth static caravan with 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms, large open space living and dining area, with 2 washrooms one has a spacious shower WC and hand basin the other is WC and hand basin only , we do supply hand towels and toilet rolls but you need to bring your own bath - beach towels. There's loads of storage also has full gas central heating and double glazing making it really cosy.

The kitchen cooking area has a cooker plus a George forman grill plus a microwave, cooking utensils cutlery dishes , we do not supply a washing machine there's a laundret on site we do supply washing powder and conditioner if you need to do any hand washing. We have really gone out of our way to make it a home from home experience and truly hope you enjoy your stay.

Taid's Retreat is only a stone's throw away from the beach whatever you do don't miss the sunsets , there's lots to do and see round about, visit the stunning fishing village of Lossiemouth with its white beach and breathtaking views across the bay, eat out in one of many restaurants and sample local produce. The ice cream is well worth the visit, take a trip out to visit the coastline and caves on one of the boat tours or drive into the heart of Moray to the historical town of Elgin and explore the ruins of the lovely Cathedral.

Entrance to the property is up one step and over the threshold, through the double doors into the pod. A table and chairs and comfortable chair is located just inside the door, and the king-sized bed with bed-side tables and a selection of books to enjoy. The kitchen area is located at the rear of the pod and the shower room.

This cabin is located in Watchet. Exmoor National Park and Quantock Hills reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include The Chocolate House and Bishop's Lydeard Station. Blenheim Gardens and AJ'z Activity Centre are also worth visiting.

The shepherds hut nestles in the corner of Mill Farm Country Park with mature hedges behind. It makes an Ideal glamping holiday for two people visiting the area, a birthday treat or meeting up with friends and family who may be staying at Mill Farm Country Park with their own caravan, motorhome or tent. It has been well equipped and cleverly designed to give the maximum amount of space and storage,
I provide a welcome pack of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a pint of locally produced milk upon arrival.

It is fitted out with a large double bed complete with linen and towels, wardrobe, large draw under the bed, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, radio and a heater, the fitted dresser is also kitted out with utensils and crockery.

Guest access

Toilets, showers and dish washing facilities all have free hot water and are conveniently positioned 50 meters away in the main building on the campsite.

There is a wooded farm walk along the fields where you can go for a stroll and you might spot all sorts of wildlife including Roe deer and owls.

Interaction with guests

Upon arrival call in at Mill Farm to book in and obtain the key code for the key safe for the shepherds hut, and then you are free to come and go as you please. If you have any problems or questions please contact us at reception.

The neighbourhood

Three minutes walk along Mill Lane takes you into Skipsea village where there is a mini supermarket & Post Office, a hairdressers and there is food available at the Board Inn.
A short walk through the village leads you to All St Church which dates from 1090 and was completely rebuilt in the 14c. further on is Skipsea castle site (motte & bailey) dates from 1086.
On the edge of the village there is an ice cream parlour and tearoom.
Twelve minutes walk in the other direction from the shepherds hut takes you to a view of the sea where on a clear day you can see Flambough Head and all the way to Spurn Point there are also fish & chips and amusements.
