Security DepositA £100 security deposit is required on arrival. This is processed by a pre-authorisation card swipe and no funds are taken unless necessary at the end of your stay.

Please note the park don't accept same day bookings, all bookings looking to travel/be amended on the day of travel need to be called through to the park first.
For late check ins throughout January – April, if you need to arrive after 6pm, you must ring ahead to arrange key collection.
Please note due to drainage and cleaning arrangements, if you are booking a hot tub accommodation, it may not be up to maximum temperature upon arrival.
In line with government guidance to ensure you and your family are safe during your stay social distancing practices will be in place across the park and any shared facilities may be limited or closed.

A very short walk from Steam & Stars you will find a bus stop which links to Taunton railway station and Minehead via the pretty costal town of Watchet. From Minehead links to Exmoor and beyond can be found.

The West Somerset (heritage) Railway runs past Steam & Stars and views are magnificent. The closest WSR railway station is only a short walk into Williton. Trains travel from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead. Please check their website for train times.

Although you may feel you are alone, we do have neighbours so please respect their peace and quiet.

The bedrooms are made up as one double and one twin bedroom. There is electric heating throughout.

The Cabin is a short walk from the North River Esk famous for salmon and sea trout fishing and the small village of Marykirk.

Places of interest we recommend visiting during your stay. Fettercairn distillery one of Scotland's oldest malt whisky distilleries. Brechin castle center provides a variety of activities for families including nature trails, miniature railway and model farm. The cabin is located ten minutes from the coast where you will find Lunan Bay one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland, popular with surfers and horse riders. Montrose Basin home to thousands of migratory birds including pink-footed geese, common terns, knots and sedge warblers.
Also St Cyrus beach, a nature reserve renowned for its grasslands, rare flowers and butterflies. Cairngorms National Park is approximately 40 miles away with beautiful mountains, forest paths, rivers, lochs, wildlife hot spots, a perfect day out. The Angus Glens are great for walking where you will see some amazing views, an abundance of wildlife and get a taste of rural Angus.
For those that like castles and gardens there is Glamis, Crathes and Dunnotar castle, also the famous Balmoral castle a little further away. Langley Park gardens, Dunnaid Castle gardens and Lady Augusta Erskine's walk at House of Dun.
The popular coastal town of Stonehaven is a 20 minute drive with many sea food restaurants and famous for the fire balls at New Year, a trip to Auntie Betty's is a must for an ice cream. Montrose is a ten minute drive where you will find many shops, supermarkets cafes a post office and chemist.
There is a lovely bistro farm shop a mile away at Balmakewan for a nice lunch and delicious home bakes or a visit to our local pub just a short walk into the village of Marykirk, a former coaching Inn built in the 1800's with a beer garden serving food daily and pet friendly too. If you feel like a cozy night in after a day exploring order a take away and they will deliver for a small charge.
