The Studio consists of:
- Open plan living area, including sitting room and well-fitted kitchen and dining area;
- 2 bedrooms & bathrooms - one family bedroom with a double and a single bed; one double bedroom with with en-suite facilities; and a second shower room;
- A personal furnished balcony with views down the valley;
- Access to our one acre informal garden, including play area, woodland area including firepit area and tree castle; paddock with sheep, chickens and ducks; and a lawned area.
The Studio is in a tranquil woodland valley, so you can choose to just stay around The Studio relaxing outside in the garden or inside with the books and games we provide. There are also lots of woodland walks on your doorstep. Or, if you want to get out and about, The Studio is also less than a 15 minute drive to the beautiful market town of Ludlow, and has good access to many local attractions, including plenty of activities for families.
We provide some basic food items (including freshly baked bread and slices of cake) for guests on arrival, so you don't have to rush straight out to the shops. If you send a shopping list we are happy to purchase items from the village shop ready for your arrival - you can pop into the shop to pay during your stay.
We take a lot of pleasure in making our guests comfortable, so if there's anything you need that we haven't mentioned then please just ask and we will do our best to provide it.

Step inside Rowan Tree Lodge on our peaceful woodland estate and you'll feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of home. With its contemporary open plan design, the living and dining space are an inviting site after a long journey. Even before you unpack you will be planning a lazy afternoon on the wrap around deck and an even longer evening catching up with good company and a glass of something chilled. The Tree Lodge is situated in a site of outstanding natural beauty and special scientific interest. Access is from a private road that winds its way down through eight acres of woodland to reveal panoramic views across six counties.
In the cosy living room area, you can sit back and relax on winter evenings next to the log burner on the comfortable L shaped sofa. The lodge has a fully equipped modern kitchen, dining room area, bathroom with shower and a lovely double bedroom with a comfy double bed and large walk in wardrobe. Situated on the deck is a two person scandanavian wood fired hot tub which you an add as a special treat for an additional £55 (please note that the hot tub does not have jets out of respect of the wildlife. The hot tub will be lit on your day of arrival and includes one basket of logs. Extra logs can be purchased from the main house). Rowan Tree Lodge also has an outdoor bbq (charcoal not included), outdoor breakfast area (including dining set and sofa), hammock and chiminea. Buckstone Log Cabin is rustic yet luxurious. It is well appointed with an industrial style kitchen, open plan dining, and living area with a cozy wood burner. There is an additional utility area with a fridge, freezer, ice machine, washer dryer and preparation area for any BBQs and outside activities.
There are 5 bedrooms, each with crisp white bed linen and towels. There is one en-suite in the master bedroom, other bedrooms are linked to a shower block of contemporary design with private cubicles accessed via the main corridor. The Log Cabin enjoys private grounds of half an acre, perfect for family games and BBQs.
The cabin sleeps 14 and has proven particularly popular with multi-generation families and small groups (3 sets of parents with up to 8 children is perfect). Adult only groups are ideally a maximum of 10 adults sleeping in the cabin as the bunkrooms are designed for children and you may find it a little cosy.
The property is for a maximum of 14 people. If your group is larger than 14 (including adults and children) please enquire for additional information and costs for camping.
The cabin is dog heaven, the grounds are fenced (although not totally dog proof). And there are lovely walks in the woods straight from the front door. Usual dog rules apply: please bag and bin any mess, and do not allow dogs on the furniture / beds / sofas. If you would like to bring dogs there is an additional £20 per dog per night.
Please note this is NOT a party house. Noise travels easily in the countryside and we do have neighbours with whom I would like to stay friends.
