Situated in Caldbeck; a popular, unspoilt and picturesque village which lies in the northern fringes of the Lake District National Park on the C umbrian W ay ideal for walkers, cyclists, families and couples alike. This property is a perfect spot for enjoying what the Lake District has to offer. As well as what is available from the doorstep many popular destinations, Keswick, Cockermouth, Penrith, Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall, and slightly further afield the Solway Coast with its sandy beaches and spectacular views across the Solway Firth to Scotland c an be found around 25 minutes away. This beautiful barn conversion sits in fantastic surroundings with fields as far as the eye can see, and the impressive view of the Northern Fells mountain range and the back of Skiddaw in the distance. On entering the driveway, there is ample space for two cars directly opposite the barn. Entrance to the property is through large glazed barn doors, and as soon as you enter you feel at home. There is a comfy lounge to your right, with a traditional log burner, smart tv with DVD player and french doors out to the well kept garden (with f riendly hens pecking around! ) The central area on the ground floor has a dining table and views outside to the courtyard and meadow beyond. The kitchen is to the left, fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine (tumble drier located next door), Nespresso coffee machine, cafetiere and bread baking making with all of the ingredients to get yourself started! All perfectly rounded off with beautiful finishing touches throughout. Just off the dining area is a downstairs shower room and WC as well as a useful under the stairs cupboard perfect for drying off those wet boots! Upstairs takes you to two tastefully decorated bedrooms (one king and one twin room with tv). There is additional storage in the large landing area and space to hang up clothes. The upstairs bathroom includes a roll top bath and WC, again wonderfully finished. Outside, you will have use of the surrounding fields (and many footpaths) as well as a garden to relax in including a BBQ which is available for use.
Only 4 miles from the market town of Keswick, this is the perfect base to get out and explore the Northern Lakes and fells. The pretty village of Threlkeld is just over a mile away, it has a couple of great country pubs, a golf course and a cricket club. Discover some fabulous walks from your front door, this area is a haven for watching wildlife, walking and cycling. Helvellyn, Skiddaw and Catbells are all on your doorstep and there are lots of outdoor activities in the local area, including sailing, climbing and horse riding or 4x4 off roading. For adrenaline junkies why not try Go Ape or visit the local Alpaca centre where you can walk an Alpaca. This pretty, well equipped shepherd hut is open plan with a raised double bed, wall mounted TV and a dining area looking out through the French doors over the Fells. This location offers the perfect spot to explore the stunning Lake District, enjoy a day out at Mirehouse and Gardens or tick off some of the many Wainwrights. There are numerous water sport activities locally, as well as indoor climbing and Breweries to visit. The entrance of the downstairs stone bothy has a couple of steps leading up to the stable style door. As you enter the studio style accommodation you will find the open plan lounge with sofa and wall mounted TV, there is a small kitchen/preparation area with sink, kettle, microwave and fridge. There is underfloor heating throughout under the tiled floor which is blissful after a day out walking or cycling. The bathroom is compact but offers a shower cubicle and WC. The bedroom area features a double bed. Open the stable door, allowing light to fill the room and you have views over St John's in the Vale the local area is stunning.
