Visit the local Black Rocks, a popular walking and climbing spot which offers superb views of Matlock Gorge. Those with energy can take the climb to the top or enjoy a milder circular walk. Formerly an area mined for lead, there are a number of interesting plants, including leadworts, and an intriguing mix of limestone and gritstone formations to explore. Refreshments are available in the summer months, and you can park near the site.
