Situated in extensive grounds in a peaceful woodland setting approximately 250 yards from the shore of beautiful Loch Awe. The site is in an area of outstanding beauty, with breath taking scenery, endless walks and abundant wildlife.

Whether you require a base from which to explore Argyll and the west coast, simply enjoy the local area or just relax and be at one with nature our log cabins provide the perfect location.

The accommodation consists of open plan Lounge, dining area and kitchen, double bedroom, triple-bunk room and family shower room.

The lounge / dining area has a high vaulted ceiling, Satellite TV, DVD, Hi Fi (via TV and DVD), double sofa, easy chairs, dining table for six and a lovely wood burning stove. WiFi is available for a small extra charge. The front elevation is mainly glazed, to maximize the views, with French windows opening onto a raised veranda area.

The kitchen area is well equipped, with cooker, fridge (freezer compartment), microwave, toaster, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Shower room is tastefully finished and has electric shower, wash basin, toilet and shaver point.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, built in wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet. Bedroom 2 has triple bunk beds (double + single over), wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet. Top bunk suitable for children under 16 only.

Outside there is parking for 2 cars, an elevated veranda with garden furniture, a BBQ / fire pit area, wood fuelled hot tub and ample grounds. The cabin provides privacy and is close to a large open meadow on which children can play safely.

The cabin is timber lined throughout, double glazed, highly insulated, well heated and suitable for year round use. It provides a balance of luxury and comfort while maintaining the character, charm and feel of a true log cabin in a quiet woodland location.

All electricity and linen (not towels) are included within quoted prices. This is a non smoking cabin.

Use of hot tub is charged at an additional £109 / stay to advertised rental rates & includes 3 bags of logs. Please confirm if this is required when booking. Additional logs can be purchased from our House Keeper.

As a self-catering cabin, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.

For a small fee we offer a hamper of local produce to be in the cabin on your arrival, just let us know directly if you would like one.

The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, a kettle, a microwave and access to a freezer and iron.

The cabin is heated by a very efficient multi fuel stove which we will light for ypur arrivalin colder weather. The bathroom is heated thermostatically.

We have drying facilities for wet walking, biking or swimming gear and secure parking for motorbikes and cycles.
It is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all.

There is one bedroom in the cabin with a very comfy double bed. All bed linen and towels are provided.

There is a small bathroom, which has a toilet a sink and a walk-in shower.

We offer a comfy dog bed if needed (please ask) as well as some pet towels and blankets though feel free to bring your own.

It is worth noting we DO NOT have TV or wifi, this is an off grid getaway. Also please note as an off grid cabin all electrics are 12v. The cabin does have charging points for phones/cameras however.

Pine Marten is a beautiful Canadian style log cabin made of red cedar. The glen is full of wildlife including deer, pine martens, red squirrels and eagles.

Bradan Lodges are three private luxury lodges with the focus being on peace and quiet.

The lodges are for adults couples only so there is no noise except for bird song and the occasion roar of a stag in the glen.

They are around 200 meters apart and do not overlook each other. Inside they are furnished with the best linen and finest bathroom and kitchenware.

Woodcock and Wildcat both have roll top copper baths and Pine Marten has a bath and shower.

All three lodges have very good wifi and are centrally heated. Woodocck and Wildcat both have log burners.

This listing is all about the romantic location of a beautiful hand painted shepherds hut called Josephine.

Sitting traditionally among sheep, above Loch Awe, the off grid hut is a mix of quirky folk art, shepherd paraphernalia and cosy Harris tweed woven from blackface wool.

Couples, writers, photographers, bird watchers, hill walkers, swimmers wishing to get away can do so here - only 40 minutes from both Glencoe & Oban.

Josephine was the owners first blackface pet lamb in the 1970s.

Josephine is fully insulated and totally off grid. This means she has a woodburning stove with a cooking plate on top. She has no running water or electricity. Water is supplied in 5L bottles and there is a tap in the farmyard for refills. She has a fixed double bed plus two seats in the dining area. She has 3 windows, a stable door and separating toilet. There is no shower but the loch, a 10 minute walk away, is very refreshing. There are twinkling fairy lights that work off a power bank and plenty of kitchenware.

There are various barbeques built from stones on the shore near the pier. There is also a bbq in the old wool shed if its raining, plus power points, a sink, fridge and 24/7 access to water.

The loch is shallow and sandy by the pier and you can swim out to the ancient crannog. You are welcome to bring kayaks and / or paddle boards.

The field Josephine sits in is at various times of the year surrounded by wild flowers. There are always sheep in the field and you are not fenced off from them, plus there are red deer very often in the mornings and Highland cattle too.

There is a resident osprey much of the year, a resident eagle on the hill behind and we see otters and pine Martens too.

On an elevated position above a bay and the shoreline of Loch Fyne, stands this south-facing purpose-built holiday house which enjoys stunning views across to the Mull of Kintyre and Arran beyond. It is located a few miles along a private road in a secluded part of what is known as “Argyll’s secret coast”. Built in 1999, it is tastefully decorated throughout with practical touches, making this an ideal venue for smaller groups of family and friends to enjoy a coastal break.

The south-facing front of the house has been designed to make the most of the sunshine and light, with the large sitting room with French windows, opening out to an extensive decking area with summer furniture. The house flows well, with the dining room next door, which then leads into the fully equipped kitchen, allowing for ease of use.

The indoor spa room complete with hot tub also enjoys these amazing views, and it is not difficult to see why this is so popular with all ages. There is one bedroom with en-suite bathroom at ground level, whilst the other three bedrooms, with their en-suite facilities, are on the floor above. With ramp access to the front, a ground floor bedroom and all rooms easily accessible on the ground floor, this is perfect for a member of your group with limited mobility. Set in a beautiful location, this is an ideal spot to just watch the sunset from the decking, get children out with their bucket and spades on the beach or to have family and friends to get away for a week.

The large sitting room is located at the front of the house with French windows opening out to the extensive decking area beyond. The wood-burning stove would normally be the focus of the sitting room with the sofas surrounding it and the TV, but it seems the chairs get turned the other way to face the sea and to enjoy the views from the windows.

Next door is the spa room with hot tub, which is kept at 36 degrees centigrade, which also opens out to the decking area. Here you will find the comfortable outside furniture, where you can dine al fresco in the summer months. Additionally, there is the boot room, which is perfect for storing all your outdoor footwear and where you can find life-jackets for trips out on the boat.

The dining room is a light, airy room to the front of the house with amazing views, decorated in pastel blues with a nautical and seafood theme. The dining table and matching chairs are ideal for comfort and for creating a stylish environment. The kitchen opens out from the dining room, and here you will find a modern fitted kitchen with breakfast bar and plenty of work-top space. Cooking is all-electric, and the fitted tiles reflect the continued seafood theme. A utility room is a next door with washing machine and tumble dryer. In the summer months, dining can take place on the front decking, and a BBQ is also provided. ** There is a private water supply at this property, which is checked and approved on an annual basis by the local authority. ** Guests who wish to use the boat are obliged to sign a Boat Request Form and be in receipt of a RYA Level Two Powerboat (with coastal endorsement) qualification or higher. Please let us know so the relevant additional legal documentation can be provided during the booking process. All certificates need to be checked in advance and brought on holiday. Use of the boat will not be permitted otherwise. The boat is not included in the rental rates and is only offered to guests at the owners discretion. Please note that the boat is not available between October and April.

This is an excellent location for day trips, with a ferry service to East Loch Tarbert available locally. Golf is available in Tighnabruaich. Alternatively, you could enjoy a trip to the Isle of Bute and do a House and Garden Tour at Mount Stuart. The trip takes about an hour and 15 minutes which includes the ferry crossing.
 
A motorboat is available to your group, with one tank of fuel provided, as part of the booking – on the provision of an RYA level 2 powerboat (coastal) qualification or higher. All certificates need to be checked in advance and brought on holiday. If you wish to arrive by boat or bring your own boat, that is possible, but please check in advance to confirm.

If you're worried about it being isolated, think again. Once most guests get down to the property, they don't want to leave. There's so much to keep you occupied, a week will whizz by. You've got walking, the beach, fishing, boat excursions, a huge garden and day trips to places like the Isle of Bute and Tarbert. You can also use the Visitcowal website and download a map on the touring routes around the quiet roads of this beautiful peninsular or check out their events page for things to see and do.

There's an excellent village store 20 minutes away (Kames Village Store) run by an extremely accommodating proprietor called Andy. He can pre-order groceries and dry goods and arrange a click and collect style service. The meat, veg & fish will all be locally sourced. The local butcher delivers to the village on a Friday, and there's also a local fishmonger.

There is a loch-side path all the way to the top of Loch Fyne. A visit to Loch Fyne Oysters and Fyne Ales in Cairndow is a must. For the energetic you can easily walk to Fyne Ales.

Nearby is the peaceful village of Strachur where you will find a local store, cafe, and the famous Creggans Inn Hotel. Within an easy driving distance visit historic Inveraray and discover the magnificent Inveraray Castle.

On the ground floor is the main entertaining space which comprises of two elegant reception rooms, a living room with fireplace and fabulous sea views and a fabulous cinema room with 86” TV as well as a fully-equipped kitchen with all the tools a budding chef could possibly need and a spacious dining room. The first of the bedrooms, a king-size room, can be found on the ground floor.Upstairs on the first floor are a further seven bedrooms, one super-king room, two king-size rooms, each with en-suite shower rooms as well as a double room with en-suite bathroom. The remaining three bedrooms share the use of a family bathroom. On the second and final floor are the remaining bedrooms, one twin room, while the remaining two can be set up on request with either twin beds or a double bed, making them ideal for siblings, friends or a couple. These rooms share the use of two family bathrooms. Outside, guests will enjoy half an acre of gardens with plenty of lawned space for the children to enjoy! Spend an evening on the terrace enjoying a yummy barbecue al fresco while making the most of the brilliant sea views, as the sun begins to set, take a dip in the luxurious hot tub, the perfect way to relax in style! The old “carriage house” has been transformed into a games room with snooker table and table tennis, the perfect place for the teens to hang out in the evenings.

Seaview Mansion is located just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Oban and a wide variety of restaurants, pubs and shops. Oban with its busy port is known as “The Gateway to the Isles”, from here (and depending on season) guests can visit a number of popular nearby islands including; Kerrera, Lismore, Mull, Iona and Staffa. For keen whisky drinkers, the Oban Distillery is one of Scotland’s oldest sources of Single Malt Scotch Whisky and one of the smallest scotch distilleries and is therefore a must visit while you are in Oban. For children, the local leisure centre is less than a 5-minute walk from the house and with its swimming pool and soft play area it makes a fantastic place to occupy the children should you have any rain! On a sunny day, the whole family will enjoy a walk up to McCaig’s Tower where beautiful views over Oban and beyond can be enjoyed. The closest airport to Seaview Mansion is Glasgow which is just over two hours from the house.
