Steps to the rear of the property take you into the first floor lounge/kitchen/diner. The cottage is located on an 18 acre smallholding, with spectacular views in all directions. The peaceful garden has a large lawn, as well as a number of fabulous, rare rhododendrons. The garden is shared with the owners, as well as their hens, horses and pig. This is a great spot for wildlife watching, with regular visitors including red squirrels, woodpeckers and great tits. Take a train from St Bees and explore the great Border city of Carlisle or go south and visit the famous La al Ratty for the day. Ennerdale water is 8 miles away. Even in high season it s a great place to escape with crystal clear water and forest walks.
