Heacham is a pretty coastal village close to the popular seaside resort of Hunstanton. It's just a 5 minute walk to Heacham North Beach, where you will find fish and chips, amusements, a bar and restaurant. Take a leisurely walk on the beach, or just relax, and in the evening soak up the lovely Heacham sunsets. Heacham Village has a varied collection of shops, restaurants and takeaways. Heacham's famous Norfolk Lavendar with it's beautiful scented lavendar fields, hosts a range of visitor attactions for everyone.

The chalet is within walking distance of Norfolk's Wild Ken Hill, nature reserve and rewilding site, as featured on Springwatch and Autumnwatch 2021 and 2022.

The Victorian resort of Hunstanton is a 5 minute journey by car, or a pleasant coastal walk from Heacham Beach. In Hunstanton you will find a beautiful extensive beach and promenade, with funfair, amusements, Sealife Centre, many restaurants and takeaways, theatre, pubs, bars and gift shops.

If you travel further round the coast, you will find more pretty coastal villages and resorts. Birdwatchers, walkers, cyclists and golfers will all be spoilt for choice. Sandringham Royal Estate is also well worth a visit.

Located in King's Lynn, this chalet is near the beach. Princess Theatre and Hunstanton Heritage Centre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Searles Golf Club and Norfolk Coast Path - West. Norfolk Lavender and Rainbow Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

If you want to soak up some local history, a trip to Duxford Imperial War Museum is a must-see. There you will find a fascinating display of aviation through the ages, getting up close and personal with gigantic aircraft and spitfires.

The historic university city of Cambridge is just twenty-five minutes away and has endless medieval and gothic architecture to explore and discover. Pack a picnic and enjoy a lovely lunch riverside to complete your day.

While in the city, check out more local history with the Fitzwilliam Museum, which is full of art and antiquities from around the globe from Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, plus amazing exhibits of European pottery, glass and furniture.
