Just a couple of miles up the road is the Bucklers Hard Maritime museum which gives an insight into the history of this 18th century shipbuilding village focusing on its vessels. On the way to Beaulieu village meet the local ponies and donkeys grazing on the road side and then on to Beaulieu Motor museum offering a calendar full of events throughout the year. Close to the pretty Georgian market town of Lymington where there are shops restaurants and gastro pubs. The area also offers plenty cycling routes and forest walks. From the entrance hall you will find three bedrooms on the ground floor. The master double bedroom has a pleasing view looking out over the rear decking and woodland surroundings. The twin and single bedrooms both offer enchanting views. The bathroom has a bath large shower cubicle and WC. The staircase leads to the first floor open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner the lounge area is a perfect spot to curl up and relax with a good book or watch a movie in front of the inviting wood burner. The spacious dining area has plenty of room for a super dinner party. There is a bright airy and well-equipped kitchen with an electric oven and induction hob microwave dishwasher fridge and freezer it s a great space for the aspiring chef. The separate utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer. Access the garden from the double glazed French doors onto a large decked veranda with garden furniture seating for five guests views across the woods and a sneak peek at the Beaulieu River through the trees. What a perfect spot for dining al fresco for friends and family to enjoy. On the ground level to the rear of the property there is an all weather table tennis table.

About four miles from the open New Forest there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy many walking cycling and horse riding routes. A ten minute drive away is the quaint town of Romsey with period streets independent shops caf├ęs and restaurants or head slightly further afield and visit the cathedral city of Winchester for the day. Easily reached within a 25 minute drive you ll find plenty of historic buildings museums and family attractions in the town. If you are keen to hit the beach Highcliffe Castle is within a half hour drive. Perfect for a day trip you can stop off at New Forest villages including Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst or Beaulieu Village along the way as you head to the coast. This spacious and unique log cabin has an open plan living area oozing folk charm. With steps down to the garden and large windows that are great for keeping an eye on the resident Alpacas there is also a sociable dining space with doors opening directly on to the balcony. The kitchen forms part of the open plan space is equipped with all the essentials for a self-catering holiday and if you fancy a spot of al fresco dining why not cook up a storm outside on the gas BBQ. Featuring three bedrooms the first has a double bed en-suite shower room and views over the paddocks and woods. The second bedroom is a cosy space with two twin beds and the third bedroom also boasts paddock views and one single bed. A travel cot is provided for babies. There is plenty to discover across the five acres of land on this working smallholding with sheep and alpacas. With an abundance of wildlife deer kingfishers small flock of Hardwick sheep and lambs children are welcome to assist with morning feedings or if you are a keen angler private fishing at one of the two privately owned lakes can be arranged. There is a hideaway alongside a grassy track down by the banks of the stream that the children will love or simply prepare a picnic and unwind within the grounds. Parking for two or three cars is available off track beyond the garden gate and there is bike and buggy storage in the barn. Please note there is no Wi-Fi however there is mobile phone signal. Pregnant ladies are advised to avoid the ewes and lambs during lambing season. Lambing season in the area takes place from the start of April to mid-May.
