Beautiful Log Cabin in a Stunning Location with Mountain and Loch Views 5

Strontian, Highland, Scotland

Beautiful Log Cabin in a Stunning Location with Mountain and Loch Views From £714 Availability

Ronaldsay is a beautifully refurbished log cabin sitting high in the private Seaview Grazings estate, Strontian, with stunning views down Loch Sunart. The area around Strontian is an outdoors-lovers paradise, with beautiful beaches and numerous walks. The cabin sits on a private site, with no other cabins overlooking it. The nearest pub and shop are a 5 min walk, with the village centre being another 5 min along the road.

Ronaldsay features extensive living space, with two sitting areas each with WiFi and large flat-screen TVs. Each TV has both Freesat installed and there are two Blu-Ray players each with internet capability for all standard catch-up services (BBC iPlayer etc). The main lounge has a wood burning stove with views over Loch Sunart to the mountains, while to the rear there is an open-plan kitchen/dining/living area. The rear living-room has views south through large french doors over the loch and mountains.

There are three bedrooms, with the south bedroom having a king-size bed and views south across the loch. The second bedroom has a double bed, with views to the west down Loch Sunart, and the smallest bedroom has a single bed.

The kitchen is well equipped, having a dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. There is also a separate utility room. There are two toilets - one of which includes a large shower cubicle. Hot water is provided through a thermal store, giving fantastic mains-pressure showers.

There are two decks, one each at the front and the rear.

The cabin has been refurbished to a high standard, both internally and externally. It has been fully insulated and re-clad externally, making it very cosy in the winter. It has also been re-roofed, again with good insulation levels, and two large roof windows have been installed, filling the rooms with plenty of natural light.

NOTE: Ronaldsay sits on an elevated site on a fairly steep hill. This means that there are risks around the garden for very young children, who would have to be kept closely supervised.

Located in Acharacle, this cabin is in a rural area and near the beach. Ardnamurchan Lighthouse and Glenfinnan Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Wings Over Mull and Ardchattan Priory Garden. Scuba diving and sailing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain biking and hiking nearby.
