To the east of the chalet is a five minute walk to Avon Beach, with its beach shop, bakery, ice cream shop, fish & chip bar as well as the renowned Noisy Lobster Restaurant. Views are directly over to the Isle of Wight and further along there is Highcliffe and walk along the sea wall.
Stroll west from the chalet onto the well known Mudeford Quay, famous for traditional crab fishing off the Quay, you can also buy fresh fish in its small shop. The RNLI launches form here and there is a coffee shop as well The Haven House Inn.
The quay is a bustling area particularly at weekends where you can learn to kayak or windsurf as well as join short sea excursions round the local coast.Take the ferry across to the Run on Mudeford famous Spit, home to many beach huts and nature reserves. From the Spit you can catch the Land Train along to Hengistbury Head and walk over the cliffs and open space with the wind in your hair , before returning back to watch the boats come in as the sun sets in front of the entrance to Christchurch Harbour.
We are situated on Dorsets Jurassic coast line with a wealth of natural history to explore and enjoy, as well as a short drive into The New Forest.
Great & convenient shopping can be found locally in Christchurch and Bournemouth with further restaurants , shopping and facilities in Poole & Southampton a further drive away.
We offer a private lodge holiday located on one of the UK's premier Holiday Parks As we are ocean fronted we are situated away from the amenities which are available to park patrons , in a quiet and secluded area.

There are several steps up to the lodge so it may not be suitable for those less mobile and there are no facilities for children or pets and our minimum high age is 25 . Our chalet is strictly no smoking and no vaping and also as plastic and synthetically chemical free as possible .

Security Deposit
There is a £250 security deposit which needs to be placed before the day of arrival, this is a pre-authorisation on a card so the money is not taken or held. Guests can place this up to 10 days prior to arrival by logging into finlakeresort.co.uk. Once this has been done you will receive an email advising you of your accommodation code and your digital key (this is not sent until the morning you check in).

Essential maintenance work is being carried out at Finlake from 26th June 2019 - 12th July 2019.
This work is predominantly taking place outside the Sirona Spa and central facilities, there is no loss of facility to any customers.
Work will be carried out Monday - Friday 0900 - 1800. There is plant machinery and the area is cordoned off for customer access.
Christmas Day Menu available – adults £60 and children up to 12 years £25, pre-booking is essential and must be paid for in advance.
Finlake Christmas Panto – 26th December 2019 and 1st January 2020, doors open at 3pm for a 3.30pm start. Tickets – adults £10, children (4 – 12 years) £5, family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) £28. Can be pre-booked with the park in advance.

You are not permitted to charge your electric vehicle (EV) from the power supply within your accommodation. From here, patio doors lead onto a small, raised decked terrace, perfect for al fresco dining or enjoying an early morning cup of coffee. There is driveway parking for three cars at the property, but also additional on road parking if needed.
The area of Churston Ferrers is well regarded and known for being so close to its very popular golf course. The 18-hole course has stunning views of the Torbay coast and is just a half mile walk or ¾ mile drive. The property is also only a half mile walk or 1 mile drive to Churston station, which is on the Dartmouth Heritage Steam Railway. The steam train can even often be seen from the rear garden.
The fantastic Elberry Cove or Broadsands beaches are both equidistant at ½ mile away. The infamous fishing/harbour town of Brixham is only 2¼ miles up the road, where fresh fish restaurants are in abundance as well as the famous Golden Hind Museum Ship, which is permanently docked up for tourists to visit. If visiting around May time, Brixham also holds its annual pirate festival, which is full of activities and dressing up. A great day out for the whole family!

Arrival Information: Darwin Escapes check-in’s are available from 16:00. If you are likely to arrive later than 18:00, please call our resort reception team on 01202 622 434 to let them know. Please note any guests under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Departure Information: Check out time is at 10:00am on the day of your departure. Darwin Escapes kindly ask that you leave your accommodation as you found it.
Hot Tub Information: Please note due to water change and maintenance your hot tub may not be up to the correct temperature when you first arrive. By using the hot tub you are agreeing to Darwin Escapes’ terms and conditions, and agreeing that you have read their hot tub safety information, found here.
Travel Cot Hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note you must bring your own mattress and bedding for the cot. Please note travel cots may not fit in double/master bedrooms in selected units, please call reception on 01202 622 434 for more information if a cot is needed.
Pets: Please make sure that you have included your pet in your booking. If your pet is not included, Darwin Escapes will either relocate you to a pet-friendly lodge, if there is one available, or holds the right to refuse access to the resort. You may be liable for any charges incurred.

Work Parties: No Work vehicles or Workwear will be permitted on site. Un-authorised Work Parties will not be allowed to stay.
Facilities including entertainment, sport and hospitality venues, are legally permitted to open, but parks may be implementing certain social distancing measures for your safety.

Essential tree works will be taken place between the below dates, please note there may be noise disturbance during this time -
Monday 21st – Friday 25th March
Monday 28th – Thursday 31st March
Ashwood Tree Services will be carrying out some essential tree works that were highlighted during a recent tree condition survey.
They will be onsite from Monday 5th December – Friday 16th December, the works will be taking place throughout the week and more than likely over the weekend.
The work will be in various areas around the resort.
Unfortunately, this will cause some disruption to our guests (mainly noise), the contractors will be asked that no machinery is used prior to 9:00am.
This lodge is located in Poole. Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Upton Country Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include The Blue Pool and Tea House and Splashdown Waterpark. Wimborne Model Town and Giggles are also worth visiting.
