Our luxury Shepherd Hut has been fitted to an exceptional standard, a fully equipped mini home in a private location.

A mini home from home with a TV, full size double bed, fully equipped kitchen and shower room. There is also a wood burner and underfloor heating to keep you nice and cosy. Tucked away beneath the apple trees in the corner of a paddock, you have your own fenced garden around the Hut - a perfect country retreat.

Our hut is located next to the paddock, a short walk from the parking area. Be prepared to walk on grass to gain access, sadly however this does mean it isn't suitable for people with limited mobility. You are free to enjoy the paddock and extensive grounds.

This cabin is located in Melksham. Wiltshire Heritage Museum and The Trowbridge Museum and Art gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Wadworth Brewery and Avonleigh Organic Vineyard. A newly built cosy shepherd's hut located in a cottage garden in Haxton SP4 9PY. Situated under tall trees, overlooking a meadow. Secluded private garden with bistro table, easy parking.

Fully insulated with traditional sheep's wool and modern eco-friendly methods. Underfloor heating so suitable year round. Mini kitchen with multi-function microwave and fridge, flushing toilet, shower, double bed, tv/dvd player and Wifi. Prosecco upon arrival for those staying two nights or more. Simple breakfast provided. Firepit for use in dry weather. .
The space
The hut is at Willow Cottage, Haxton SP4 9PY. Its situated in a corner of our garden facing away from the house towards the field at the back. Its totally self contained and guests can come and go as they please. Whilst using the hut garden guests cannot be seen from the house.

Please note that access to the hut is via two steps so not suitable for those who find climbing steps difficult. Cows released into the field can be very friendly and congregate near the fence! There is a footpath which runs across the centre of the field from the farm to the church, used by local dog walkers.

A simple breakfast is provided: tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and orange juice. Sugar free muesli and a granola, crumpets to toast, butter and jam. I am very happy to customise this with advance notice.

Other things to note
There are some wonderful country pubs within walking distance. Further information available when you arrive. We also have an independent coffee shop in Netheravon, just 5 mins walk away, where you can sit inside or outside or take away your favourite drinks. Also a McColls which is open 7 days a week. 5 miles away there is a Tesco Superstore. Salisbury (14miles), Stonehenge (5.5 miles), Bath (32 miles), Marlborough (16 miles) and Devizes (16 miles) are all great places to visit Salisbury Plain is wonderful for cycling or walking and secure storage available for bikes. Happy to do personal laundry for guests staying more than three nights.

PETS: Happy to allow one small-ish dog in the hut. Spaniel size or smaller. The main issue is that there is nowhere to dry a wet and muddy dog after a walk in bad weather and most of my furnishings are white or dry clean only! So sadly not suitable for large or long haired breeds. Water bowl, treats and dog towels provided Dogs are not allowed on the sofa or bed. Throws can be provided if you think your dog may object! A small additional fee of £10 per stay for bringing your dog as it does take longer to clean after our faithful four legged friends.
