Kingsand and Cawsand offer a haven of peace and tranquillity. Relax on the beach, in one of the village pubs or cafés or take a stroll through the narrow streets of colour washed cottages and shops.
Swimming, fishing, windsurfing and water skiing are all available on the beaches, or you can follow the coast path through the village and the Mount Edgcumbe Estate to Cremyll. In the other direction the coast path takes you round the headland to the glorious sandy beach of Whitsand Bay.
From Cawsand, and just a few minutes’ walk from the property, you can take a passenger ferry across to the city of Plymouth which offers an abundance of high street and independent shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, theatres and attractions to suit everyone. The Barbican and Hoe are steeped in history and are definitely worth a visit.
If you’re feeling energetic then Dartmoor is a mere half an hour away, as are Looe and Polperro, with Bodmin Moor only 45 minutes away.

Arrival Information: Darwin Escapes check-in’s are available from 16:00. If you are likely to arrive later than 18:00, please call our resort reception team on 01726 860 415 to let them know. Please note any guests under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Departure Information: Check out time is at 10:00am on the day of your departure. Darwin Escapes kindly ask that you leave your accommodation as you found it.
Hot Tub Information: Please note due to water change and maintenance your hot tub may not be up to the correct temperature when you first arrive. By using the hot tub you are agreeing to Darwin Escapes’ terms and conditions, and agreeing that you have read their hot tub safety information, found here.
Travel Cot Hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note you must bring your own mattress and bedding for the cot. Unfortunately travel cots do not fit in any double/masters bedrooms of Piran Meadows’ static caravan accommodation. Cots do fit in the master bedrooms of Truro Premier, Perranporth Premier, Wadebridge 2 and St Austell 2. If both beds in the twin room are not being used, you may be able to reposition the beds to create space for the travel cot. Please call to advise if this is important to you.

Hire of Travel Cots: Hire of Travel Cots: You will need to supply your own cot mattress and bedding as this is not included in the hire of travel cots. Unfortunately travel cots do not fit in the master bedrooms of many accommodation types. Cots do fit in the master bedrooms of Truro, Perranporth, Wadebridge 2 and St Austell 2. If both beds in the twin room are not being used, you may be able to stack the beds to create space for the travel cot. Please call to advise if this is important to you.
Hot Tubs in Premier Accommodation: Please be aware the hot tub may not be up to temperature when you first arrive due to water change and maintenance.

Piran Meadows Resort have been informed by the National Grid that they have a planned power cut which will affect Piran Meadows resort. Arrival Information: Darwin Escapes check-in’s are available from 16:00. If you are likely to arrive later than 18:00, please call our resort reception team on 01288 352 563 to let them know.
Departure Information: Check out time is at 10:00am on the day of your departure. Darwin Escapes kindly ask that you leave your accommodation as you found it.
Travel Cot Hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note you must bring your own mattress and bedding for the cot. Unfortunately travel cots do not fit in any double/masters bedrooms of Sandymouth’s static caravan accommodation. If your accommodation will have an unused twin room during your stay, the resort may be able to remove the beds and create a space, please call our reception team on 01288 352 563.
Pets: Please make sure that you have included your pet in your booking. If your pet is not included, Darwin Escapes will either relocate you to a pet-friendly lodge, if there is one available, or holds the right to refuse access to the resort. You may be liable for any charges incurred.
Resort Facilities: Sandymouth’s facilities are currently working at a reduced capacity and pre-booking for any activities or food at the restaurant is essential. Please book by calling the resort reception on 01288 352 563.
Additional Information: Please note access to the near-by Sandymouth Bay Beach is a steep walk and is not suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Please read Darwin Escapes’ park rules found here.
Group Bookings/Party Types: A security deposit may be requested on arrival. Group bookings are not permitted on-site in December unless pre-approved by the park.
Work Parties: No Work vehicles or Workwear will be permitted on site. Un-authorised Work Parties will not be allowed to stay.
A takeaway and delivery service will be available from restaurants and bistros.
Arrival Information: Check-in is available from 16:00 although you are welcome to arrive earlier. To make your check in as smooth, quick and easy as possible, we’d like to request you call ahead for specific arrival information and to inform our reception team of your car registration number in advance of your arrival, particularly if you’re arriving outside of normal working hours. Hire of Travel Cots: You will need to supply your own cot mattress and bedding as this is not included in the hire of travel cots. Unfortunately travel cots do not fit in any of the master bedrooms in the caravans. If both beds in the twin room are not being used, the resort may be able to remove a bed to create space for the travel cot. Please call to arrange if this is important to you.
Departure Information: Please ensure you leave the accommodation by 09:00am on your day of departure however you are more than welcome to use the facilities all day.
Pets: Please note, if you are planning on bringing your pet or animal on holiday, this must be included in your party make up when booking. If you arrive on holiday with an undeclared pet/animal, the park operators are entitled to either relocate you to suitable pet/animal-friendly accommodation (if available) or refuse access to the Park. You may also be liable for any Pet charge, cleaning costs and/or relocation costs incurred. Please check with the retreat prior to including any extra pets. Any pets arriving undeclared could be asked to leave the retreat if there is no pet accommodation available.

We aim to always assist you in making the most of your holiday and wanted to advise of essential maintenance work being carried out on the park on Tuesday the 7th June. The park have advised that the work being carried out will cause the water supply to stop for around an hour. The Park have assured us they will try their best to keep any disruptions to a minimum and will be on hand to assist with any enquiries if required. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
