Easy access to the Hayling Billy track, a great shoreline walk/cycle. South Downs - a short journey away with fantastic walks and views.

Close to various places of interest but far enough away to indulge in nature

Located in Hayling Island, this cabin is in a rural area and near the beach. New Theatre Royal and Cathedral of St. Thomas are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Funland Hayling Island and Hayling Seaside Railway. PlayZone Portsmouth and HMS Victory are also worth visiting.

The cabin sits in a large mature garden near, but separate from, the owners 'Arts & Crafts' family home. Solidly built, well insulated and has central heating. The cabin is in a woodland setting and has its own courtyard style private garden. Dedicated double bedroom in the loft with luxury Egyptian cotton sheets and duvet covers. Large open plan sitting -eating- kitchen area with french doors to garden. Utility room with sink and washer drier. Double sofa bed downstairs- also with luxury cotton. Smart TV with Netflix, and Blu Ray DVD. Wifi. Modern appliances. Shower room with basin and WC. Iron & board, toaster. Barbecue available; please ask.
Sea Reach has its own parking with dedicated gate into its garden so you can come and go as you please. We have plenty of space so if you wanted to bring any toys, boats and trailers, windsurfers, bikes, or classic cars, I am sure we can accommodate. Please just let us know.
The cliff-top and beach are a 12 min. walk away through woodland and a small heath. Alternatively if you follow the stream through the woods you can walk to the village hardly using any roads. Milford on Sea has a good butcher, 2 grocery shops, a good fish & chip shop and numerous good restaurants, pubs and wine bars. The sailing and fishing harbour of Keyhaven are minutes away by car. From there you can walk or take a ferry to Hurst Castle, an exciting fort built by Henry V111. Keyhaven is an outlier of the New Forest National Park. The main body of it is about 15 mins away by car. Here you have a wonderful open space for all sorts of activities. If you are interested in wildlife then the Forest is a must but you may also see birds, deer, badgers, squirrels and foxes near Sea Reach. If you follow the sea wall from Keyhaven it will take you to the internationally famous sailing centre of Lymington. Here there are two marinas, harbour-masters pontoons and the old Town Quay. Boats galore, river trips, ferry to the Isle of Wight, sea water swimming pool, shopping, eating are all part of this lovely Georgian market town. (Market day Saturday) If you like walking or cycling there plenty of options that start right from the door of Sea Reach. Beaulieu, the home of the National Motor Museum, is about 25 min by car. It is a beautiful village at the top of the navigable section of the Beaulieu River. There is a wonderful walk downstream to the well preserved 18th century shipbuilding village Bucklers Hard.

Sea Reach is no smoking and no pets. ( Though we do have our own black Labrador called Raffa. He is not allowed in the cabin. ) Children are welcome but please note that the stairs are steep and open on one side and there is an unprotected bit of landing. It is clear to an adult that there is no reason to go there but a child would see it as a challenge. This is a weekly rental with changeover day on Saturday. We will sometimes consider shorter rentals.

Plenty of birds can be found - Canada Geese, Herons, Pheasants and Buzzards. Deer are sited regularly near the Wagons and horses. The stream has fish. If you want to get away from it all then this is the place to book. If you wish We can accommodate your own horse in adjacent paddocks. Please enquire about prices first.
The space
Welcome to our beautiful off grid Shepherds hut with separate Shepherds hut private bathroom, both huts are set in idillic country side setting away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life. lighting in the Shepherds hut is solar powered and controlled with a hand remote. There is also a solar usb charger for your phones. Additional battery lamps are also provided as back up, it also has its own battery operated pretty fairy lights for a romantic setting.

Separate small shepherds hut houses chemical toilet with flush, basin and hot rain shower. Water to the basin and shower is hot and heated by a LPG gas heater. There is also a remote control solar light and additional battery operated lanterns inside the hut.

The sleeping hut houses a kitchen, and a raised double bed and there is room under the bed for hanging clothes and additional space for a floor double pocket sprung mattress. Children love sleeping in this area as it feels like their own den.

The kitchen area in the Shepherds Hut has gas single hob and gas built in oven. There is also a sink and hot and cold tap. Washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels provided. We also have a 3 way cold fridge that runs from lpg gas. We provide milk, tea, coffee, eggs and sugar for your stay. Cutlery and crockery is found in the inside camp kitchen, along with a rubbish bin. Dinning can either be around the camp fire or if the weather isn’t up to it then we have a small table stored under the bed in the Shepherds Hut, that can be brought out and used inside the shepherds hut for cozy feel. The shepherds hut is insulated with wool and there is a wood burning stove for heat. (Wood provided).

The outside kitchen has a wood fire pit with tripod to hang kettle and pots on to boil water or toast your marshmallows, which we will provide for you. We also have cast iron toasted sandwich maker, frying pans and pots to cook over the open fire with. Wood is also provided for your stay along with fire lighters and matches. The outside area has a large fire pit and griddle for outdoor cooking. We also have a bbq. Wood will be supplied daily throughout your stay for use on the fire pit.

The huts have outdoor solar fairy lights that come on when it gets dark and there are candles outside to use around camp fire for a relaxed setting. Also outside on raised oak floor is a beautiful slipper bath with hot and cold water. Bath outside under candle light and twinkling of stars at night. The bath is behind a modesty screen, which allows you to take in the open views of the river and fields during the day, whilst maintaining your privacy.
Guest access
The site is accessed down a track. It’s about 400 meter walk from the car parking area. We can take luggage down using our miniature tractor and trailer if required
Other things to note
Our off grid Glamping units are only open from 1st April to the 31st October. Our large Shepherds hut with Hot tub is open all year round. We have no wi fi, but 4G works fine on site. Also if you require a tv then please let us know and we can supply a small lap top/dvd player which can be kept charged at our house and will give you a few hours of battery life before needing a recharge. Please contact me if you want to book for larger family groups in my other huts with Scandinavian Hot tub for availability.
