'Hare House' is a beautifully decorated 'home from home' set in glorious Wiltshire countryside, yet within walking distance of shops, cafes and pubs in the ancient town of Wilton. It is perfect for couples seeking total relaxation in a luxury retreat. It is also great for home-working, with excellent wifi. This is a great base for exploring Stonehenge, Avebury, Salisbury, New Forest and Bath. Bournemouth is a short drive and some beautiful Dorset beaches are in easy driving distance. Wilton has a good range of shops including a bakery and supermarket, together with pubs and cafes for meals. It is home to the Earl of Pembroke who lives in Wilton House, which has been used as the setting for many films, including The Crown, and which is usually open to the public.

Hare House is a self-contained Lodge, adjacent to our home. It has a well equipped separate kitchen; luxury bathroom with bath and shower; and a super-kingside Hypnos bed which can be separated into two full-size single beds if required. The sitting area has a lovely Swedish log burner which provides warmth in the cooler days and evenings. The Lodge is very well insulated and always feels very warm and cosy.

Enjoy sitting by the lake, filled with water lilies or sit on our private island and cook on the fire-pit in the moonlight....

We appreciate how important a comfortable bed and offer a choice of pillows, Egyptian cotton sheets, together with fluffy towels and essential toiletries.

Your Welcome Pack will have everything you need to get you started for breakfast, and will include milk, local artisan bread, butter, muesli and granola and a variety of teas and coffee. You have a Nespresso machine if you wish to bring your favourite capsules. Cooking essentials such as oil, vinegars, seasoning are provided.

The River Nadder flows through our garden and provides the perfect spot to watch for the kingfishers, water vole, heron and fish that live on the river. You are welcome to wander on our island to meet the sheep and chickens that roam freely. You also have a very private area of the garden with your own riverside deck to watch the sun set. Or enjoy a swim in the plunge pool we have created in the River Nadder!
